Paddock Research

Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in market research studies conducted by Paddock Research ("Paddock Research," "we," "us," or "our"), including any communications we send you by text message (SMS), phone call, or email in connection with scheduling, confirming, or reminding you about a study session. By providing your phone number and agreeing to these Terms, you accept the terms below.

1.Who we are

Paddock Research is a market research company that recruits participants for research studies, interviews, and related sessions on behalf of itself and its clients. Our contact information is listed at the end of this page.

2.Messaging & call program

If you sign up for or are invited to a study, you may receive communications from Paddock Research including:

  • Text messages confirming your scheduled session, date, time, and location or link

  • Text message reminders in advance of your session

  • Automated or live phone calls to confirm, reschedule, or follow up on your session

  • Replies to messages you send us (e.g., confirming, rescheduling, or cancelling)

Message frequency varies depending on how many studies you're scheduled for, but is typically limited to confirmation and reminder messages tied to a specific session. Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier and plan.

3.Consent to be contacted

By providing your mobile phone number when signing up for a study, you consent to receive text messages and phone calls from Paddock Research, including messages sent using automated technology, for the purpose of confirming, rescheduling, or reminding you about your study session. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of participating in a study except where directly necessary to schedule and confirm your session.

Where a call is placed using an automated or AI-assisted calling system, we will identify at the start of the call that you are speaking with an automated assistant calling on behalf of Paddock Research.

4.How to opt out

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts, unless you re-subscribe or sign up for a new study and provide your number again. You can also opt out verbally during a call, or by contacting us using the information below. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us directly.

5.Your information

Information you provide in connection with a study, including your phone number, is used only to schedule, confirm, and communicate with you about that study, consistent with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your phone number, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

6.Rescheduling & cancellation

You may reschedule or cancel a confirmed session by replying to a text message, responding during a confirmation call, or contacting us directly at least 48 hours before your scheduled time where possible. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may affect your eligibility for future studies.

7.Incentives

Where a study offers an incentive (such as a cash payment or gift card), the amount, form, and timing of payment will be communicated to you before your session and is generally provided upon completion of the study, subject to the terms provided at the time of scheduling.

8.Eligibility

Participation in Paddock Research studies is limited to individuals who meet the eligibility criteria for a given study and who are legally able to enter into these Terms in their jurisdiction. You must provide accurate contact information and be the authorized user of the phone number you provide.

9.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued participation in a study after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, and applicable U.S. federal law, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) where relevant.
