Paddock Research brings people and brands together through research. This notice explains how we use information provided through our website, community signup, member profiles, and research activities.

Information you share

We collect contact details such as your name, email address, and mobile number, along with your communication choices. Optional profile questions may include ZIP code, age range, household income range, household size, gender, marital status, pets, children’s age groups, vehicle type, interests, and everyday preferences. Business inquiries may include company details and project requirements.

Your profile and member number

Your member number identifies your record. Your profile answers are linked to your contact details so we can update your record and consider you for relevant projects. A member number does not make your information anonymous. Keep your personal profile code private.

How we use information

We use information to manage membership, send onboarding and profile messages, assess project eligibility, invite members to relevant opportunities, coordinate participation, administer payments, respond to inquiries, and maintain participation and communication records. Optional questions can be skipped. Joining is free and does not guarantee a project invitation or payment.

Research participation and sharing

Profile information and study responses serve different purposes. We do not promise that all research is anonymous or reported only in aggregate. Depending on the project, researchers or clients may observe sessions or receive responses, recordings, or relevant participant information. Review the project notice and any consent request before deciding to participate, especially where recording, observation, or identifiable information is involved.

We use service providers to operate our website, forms, database, communications, and incentive delivery. These include Squarespace, Microsoft services, and, where applicable, Tremendous. Information needed for those services is processed through their systems. We do not rent, sell, or give your information to third parties for their own direct marketing of products or services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

Your communication choices

Text messaging is optional. Providing a mobile number alone is not an opt-in to future project texts. You can request an end to invitations by emailing brian.love@paddockresearch.com and specifying email, text, or both. You can also reply STOP to a project text to withdraw text consent. Access, corrections, and deletion

To request a copy of your profile, correct information, leave the community, or request deletion, email brian.love@paddockresearch.com. Please identify the email address used to join; do not send identity documents or sensitive financial information with your initial request. We may need to verify your identity. Available legal rights and exceptions depend on where you live and applicable law. Records may need to be retained for payment, tax, legal, dispute-resolution, or opt-out purposes even after active membership ends.

Retention and security

Membership records are used for ongoing project matching until you ask to leave. Study and payment records may have different retention needs. Contact us with questions about retention of a particular record. We are committed to protecting personal information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not put Social Security numbers, payment-card details, or medical records into general signup or profile forms.

Adults and family projects

Community signup is intended for adults age 18 or older. Parents and legal guardians should join using their own contact information. Household questions ask about children’s age groups, not their names or contact details. Projects involving minors require separate arrangements with a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has submitted personal information directly, contact us so we can review and address it.

Website and linked services

Our website is hosted by Squarespace, and forms and payment services may open on other providers’ sites. Those providers’ privacy notices also describe their processing. Browser settings can control cookies, although restricting cookies may affect functionality. This notice does not treat continued browsing as consent to optional tracking.

Payments and tax information

Paid-project invitations explain compensation and participation requirements. Payments may be taxable even when no tax form is issued. Where required, Paddock or its payment provider may request tax information through an appropriate secure process and issue applicable tax reporting forms. Reporting requirements depend on the payment type and applicable law.
